Manager and Assistant Manager (Marketing and Branding) (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II and Executive Officer) (2 posts) in the Communications and Public Affairs Office of the Registry (Ref.: to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

The Communications and Public Affairs Office (CPAO) of the Registry of the University of Hong Kong (HKU) enhances HKU's reputation through branding, events, digital communications, media relations, and more. The office is also responsible for University events and ceremonies, publications, both external and internal communications, crisis management and community engagement. CPAO is currently elevating and expanding its scope of services. We are looking for talented candidates to join the team.

The key responsibilities of the Manager and Assistant Manager (Marketing and Branding) are to:

support the development and implementation of strategic marketing plans to strengthen the University's brand and visibility; plan, implement and monitor promotional campaigns, evaluate effectiveness of campaigns and make on-going improvements; lead content development projects for multiple channels including digital platforms as well as printed communication collaterals in line with brand direction; plan and coordinate project schedules, manage procurement processes to commission third-party service providers for various University initiatives; analyse market trends, competitors and campaign effectiveness to give insight on new and effective promotional strategy; and serve as an internal brand custodian for brand or sub-brand applications in various contexts.

Requirements:

a good University's degree in marketing, communications or a relevant discipline; at least eight years' experience in brand-building, events or digital marketing, corporate communications for consideration of appointment as Manager ; at least five years' experience in brand-building, events or digital marketing, corporate communications for consideration of appointment as Assistant Manager ; an excellent command of English and Chinese; a good command of PC applications including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; strong analytical skills to drive marketing results, transforming data to actionable insight and recommendations; the ability to manage fast-moving projects and collaborate with internal and external cross-functional teams in a complicated environment; and a willingness to work outside regular work hours and on duty roster.

Compensation and Benefits:

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
