TomTom Intelligent Vehicle Assistant is a new product being built in collaboration with Microsoft.

It brings the power of AI into the vehicle, giving both drivers and passengers exciting new ways to communicate with their cars.

Our team believes in full ownership of the product, so you can expect to contribute anywhere from product discovery to presenting our achievements to the customers.

Our technology stack currently consists of Python, JavaScript, Kotlin, and Microsoft Azure.

What you will do:

  • Lead a team of 68 software engineers
  • Participate in reviews of requirements, technical design, and code
  • Be responsible for performance management and helping your team members with their career growth
  • Drive execution to ensure we ship on time
  • Drive operational excellence and be responsible for our production availability SLAs
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management and Sales on requirements and priorities
  • Represent the engineering team in internal crossteam initiatives and external customer engagements

What you will need:

  • 5 or more years of software engineering experience
  • 1 or more years of experience in a management role
  • Knowledge of at least one modern programming language
  • Experience owning the whole software development lifecycle, from idea to production
  • Passion for people management and coaching
  • Willingness to own your work endtoend and embrace other aspects of our Leadership Foundation
  • You should be comfortable working as a part of a geographically distributed team that prefers writing over virtual meetings
  • Good communication skills, ability to write and speak English clearly and concisely

Nice to have:

  • Experience handling high uncertainty of product requirements
  • Experience working in a startup environment or launching a new product
