About the role

You will be part of the Vattenfall international Compensation & Benefits team, located in Sweden, Germany, and the Netherlands. Specifically, this position as a Compensation & Benefits expert will be based in the Dutch team situated in Amsterdam. Working alongside a teamlead and two Compensation & Benefits experts, you will provide essential guidance and expertise on compensation and benefits matters to ensure the company's competitiveness in talent attraction, engagement, and retention. Collaboration with HR and Business leaders will be key to ensure the alignment and management of compensation and benefits programs in the Netherlands, in line with the global C&B strategy and business requirements. Additionally, as a member of the International Vattenfall team, you will engage in various international projects.

Your responsibilities

As an expert in your field, you will serve as a trusted advisor for business HR, management, and the compensation and benefits team at Vattenfall:

  • Carry out job evaluations using Mercer job evaluation methodology
  • Conduct benchmarks and analyze benchmarking information to assess current market pay levels upon Business HR request
  • Support and contribute to the development of compensation & benefits training for international Business HR, managers, and other target groups at Vattenfall
  • Play a crucial role as a specialist in job evaluation within global projects, including the implementation of a global Job Architecture for the company
  • Contribute to the establishment of group standards, translating global policies and standards into local regulations
  • Participate in projects aimed at enhancing alignment of Dutch benefit packages and mobility policies with Vattenfall's mission statement, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Analyze HR and financial data to determine the impact of new policies on the company and employees
  • Provide input for negotiations on collective labor agreements and implement new regulations as defined in the agreements
  • Deliver management reporting information, data analysis, and modeling as needed
  • Review, maintain, and communicate reward policies and processes and ensure proper execution in Vattenfall's administration

Location

Amsterdam. Occasional travel to Stockholm or Berlin may be required.

Your profile

Your profile as a Compensation & Benefits Expert

We are seeking a proactive expert with extensive knowledge and experience in Compensation & Benefits. The ideal candidate is structured, result-oriented, and possesses a hands-on mentality. You should be approachable and comfortable operating in a fast-paced international environment. Additionally:

  • Hold a Master's Degree in a relevant area (e.g., Human Resources, Finance, or Economics)
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of C&B experience, preferably in an English-speaking, international setting
  • Possess knowledge of and experience with (Mercer) job evaluation methodologies
  • Demonstrate familiarity with Dutch labor regulations, as well as tax and international mobility regulations
  • Have a good understanding of market reward practices and practical experience with benchmarking and salary surveys
  • Show strong analytical skills and the ability to turn complex data into actionable recommendations
  • Exhibit a high sense of responsibility, integrity, and confidentiality
  • Effectively plan, prioritize activities, and collaborate with others to achieve objectives
  • Possess excellent MS Office skills
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English and Dutch
