About the job title and the company:
As a Klinisch Linguist at Kentalis, you will be part of a team of professionals where language, speech, and communication are at the core of our services and expertise. You will follow a tailored training program focused on your role as a specialist in clinical linguistics. This role involves working with children aged 2 to 5 years old and older children 5+, who are undergoing early intervention and afterschool group therapy at Kentalis due to suspected language development disorders.

What will you be doing?
When standard diagnostics fall short or when faced with complex challenges, the multidisciplinary teams will seek your expertise as a linguistic specialist. You will conduct in-depth research to understand the language system and find ways to help improve the child's speech, language, communication abilities, and interaction with others. Your responsibilities will include:

• Diagnostic assessments, observation, and analysis, including phonological analyses and multilingual research;
• Serving as a resource and providing guidance and coaching to speech therapists, collaborating with treatment coordinators;
• Contributing significantly to development, policy, research, and knowledge sharing, translating the latest scientific insights into practice.

Who will you work with?
You will collaborate with three clinical linguists in the region for case discussions and intervisions. Additionally, you will engage with several multidisciplinary treatment teams working on TOS and afterschool group therapy. You will be based at two locations in Amsterdam and Assendelft, working closely with a team of speech therapists.

• A gross monthly salary ranging from €3,768 to €5,477 (FWG 60) for a 36-hour workweek, in line with disability care collective agreements;
• A 2% salary increase from December 2024;
• Initially, a one-year employment contract with the possibility of permanent employment based on performance and unchanged business conditions;
• A part-time contract of 15-20 hours per week, with flexible hours and work days, ideally with Tuesdays as a preference;

• Travel allowance of €0.16 per kilometer for commuting;
• An 8.33% year-end bonus in December;

Who are you?
You are comfortable taking on a leadership and coaching role, enjoy working independently, and excel in juggling diagnostics, coaching, and on-demand advisory tasks.

• You hold a university degree in linguistics, such as language sciences, neurolinguistics, or speech-language pathology;
• Experience in speech-language diagnostics with children under and/or over 5 years old, or a strong desire to specialize in this area;
• You naturally possess coaching skills and can effectively communicate information to others.
