Business Analyst Private Equity

Your role
In this role, you will join the team of three Business Analysts in the Private Equity department with the following activities and taking up different hats:
Process Management : You will be developing and improving processes for FMO's Private Equity business. You will collaborate with different teams across departments to find and implement improvements successfully. This responsibility continuously evolves and optimizes operational workflows, enhancing the department's efficiency and effectiveness.
Secondly, you will take on the role of Internal Controls Champion . You will oversee the Private Equity department's current control framework. Additionally, you will work with the operational risk management team to identify and introduce new controls.
You will also step into the role of Data Steward where your responsibilities extend far beyond the routine. You will actively be participating in the definition, meaning, content, quality, and distribution of data within the Private Equity domain. Your keen eye for detail and strategic mindset enhances our data strategy. You ensure the information is precise and matches our department's main goals.
Furthermore, you support both internal and external audits related to equity. This involves not just providing evidence but showcasing a comprehensive understanding of the challenging aspects of the Private Equity portfolio. You will also perform ad-hoc analysis to answer questions from internal departments on the Private Equity portfolio for example Finance, Risk and Strategy.

Your team
Private Equity is an important part of FMO's business as growth capital for companies is scarce in most emerging markets. This department makes direct investments, invests in Private Equity funds and in co-investments with our investee funds. Through our business, we aim to achieve attractive, market-driven returns while creating significant development impact. The Business Analyst will work in the Private Equity department of FMO that currently consists of approximately 60 team members.
Your background
Bachelor/Master's degree in a relevant field. At least 4 years of experience in positions focusing on risk, control, compliance, and/or processes. Analytical and innovative mindset. Positive 'can do' attitude, able to deal with a changing environment. Familiarity working with different (IT) systems. Ability to work collaboratively and independently Confident/able to speak up and challenge management and other colleagues within the department. Strong attention to detail.Requirements that are an advantage (a plus)
