As the Technical Supervisor, you'll be at the forefront of coordinating and overseeing maintenance and support activities, including managing personnel responsible for the technical aspects of our organization. Your primary objectives will be to achieve company and customer objectives successfully.

What you do on a typical day

Lead and supervise the technical department or staff. Review workload and allocate tasks to team members. Provide professional training and evaluate employee performance; recommend or initiate hiring, promotions, transfers, or disciplinary actions as necessary. Oversee processes to ensure maintenance activities are completed accurately and on time. Safely maintain, inspect, and repair machines, equipment, and warehouse facilities. Measure work performance, compare results to objectives, and take corrective actions as needed. Maintain and generate required reports efficiently. Establish, maintain, and promote exceptional customer service. Interpret and enforce company policies and safety procedures to ensure compliance. Contribute to reducing environmental impact through waste, energy, water, and fuel consumption initiatives.

What you need to succeed at GXO

Experience in team management. Proficiency in machines, equipment, warehouse facilities, and maintenance and repair methods and procedures. Ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight timelines. Experience in vendor interaction and relations. Knowledge of principles and practices of effective customer service. Safety-oriented mindset and consciousness.
