Internship – Employee Listening & Engagement (DEI)

The Internship

This internship opportunity involves working within the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Centre of Excellence, which is part of the Global Talent & Leadership (GT&L) team. The team's main focus is on promoting diversity and inclusivity in the workplace, which is an essential aspect of HEINEKEN's corporate culture. The team is vibrant, comprised of individuals from various countries and backgrounds.

During the internship, you'll assist in implementing the Continuous Listening Strategy. This includes conducting engagement surveys to gain insights into employees' experiences. Additionally, you'll have the chance to explore HEINEKEN as a company beyond your specific department. They offer trust and autonomy, allowing you to work like a true entrepreneur and welcome fresh ideas enthusiastically.


Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
  • Supporting the implementation of programs under the Continuous Listening Strategy (Climate & Pulse surveys).
  • Assisting leads or stakeholders at every stage of the process, offering guidance, resolving queries, and developing informational materials.
  • Contributing to Climate Community initiatives and engaging employees in various events.
  • Supporting other DEI-related projects or initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, Economics, or Business.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Experience with office tools, particularly Microsoft.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working independently while also being a team player.
  • Assertive, pragmatic, and resilient with a positive attitude.
  • Strong personality suited for a fast-paced environment.
  • Passionate about Human Resources topics and emerging trends in leadership and the workplace.
  • Capable of coordinating tasks, analyzing data, and supporting detailed processes.
Terms of Employment
  • Expected start date around July 1st, 202
  • Full-time internship (potential for 4 days/week upon discussion)
  • Duration of 5-6 months (in coordination with your internship supervisor)
  • Based at the global Head Office in Amsterdam.
  • Internship fee of €500 (HBO/WO).
  • 2 vacation days per month (based on full-time).
  • Reimbursement for commuting expenses if you lack a student OV product.
  • Enrollment at an educational institution throughout the internship duration.
  • Registration as an intern with a Dutch educational institution for non-EU nationals.
  • EU nationals can also be registered as interns at educational institutions outside the EU.

  • Proficiency in English.
  • Strong data analysis skills with Excel knowledge.

HEINEKEN's Requirements
  • Enrollment at an educational institution.
  • For non-EU nationals, registration as an intern with a Dutch educational institution along with proof of current academic year enrollment.
  • EU nationals can also be interns at educational institutions outside the EU.
  • Residing in the Netherlands during the internship (no housing provided).
