Research Assistant I/II in the Division of Geriatric Medicine at the Department of Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine

We are currently looking for candidates for the mentioned position.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Dr. Jacqueline YUEN, the Principal Investigator, in clinical research projects focusing on patient-doctor communication and medical decision-making
  • Assist in subject recruitment and questionnaire administration
  • Handle data collection, management, and analysis
  • Conduct literature reviews and write reports
  • Perform any other assigned tasks

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in fields like Psychology, Public Health, Social Sciences, Nursing, or related disciplines, with at least 1 year of post-qualification research experience
  • Proficiency in statistical software like SPSS and/or R
  • Strong written and verbal skills in English and Chinese (including Cantonese)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Demonstrated maturity, responsibility, hard work ethic, and the capacity to thrive independently and within a team
  • Experience in qualitative research is a plus

Benefits:

The position is a 1-year temporary appointment with the chance of extension based on performance and funding. The selected candidate will receive a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
