BOAS is the fast vintage fashion platform that saves jeans from being burnt and donates 90% of profits to save lives.

We're looking for our newest lifesaver to join us in Amsterdam to scale our Buying&Partnerships department and achieve more good.

We are looking for a full-time, enthusiastic and driven intern to support our buying department during a 6-month internship.

You can start ASAP on-site in our headquarters in Amsterdam-Centre - next to the famous and oldest fleamarket of Amsterdam: Waterloo-plein

Our office is bright and airy, in a building filled with other (fashion)companies that are doing good, with a true cool vintage atmosphere.

Tasks

As an intern, you will provide all-round support to our Buying department.

Additionally, you will assist with various tasks associated with a fast vintage fashion company.

Your tasks will include:

  • Contributing to and working towards our circular fashion goals
  • Responsible for the administrative part of the buying at our suppliers and the incoming items of our denim-upcyclers, including monitoring the arrival of all incoming items.
  • Checking, measuring, and evaluating various items
  • Assisting with fitting sessions
  • Preparing comments on items
  • Conducting quality control
  • Handling complaints and processing them
  • Supporting daily operations
  • Overseeing buying (staying in close contact with Operations regarding supply) and maintaining contact with (inter)national suppliers
  • Following up on delivery dates
  • Maintaining the showroom's appearance
  • Assisting with preparations for the sales season, events, and photoshoots
  • Creating a streamlined system for tracking inventory and purchasing
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing or enrolled at a MBO-study like ROC Mode&Jean school or in a Bachelor's program at a HBO (university of applied science) like AMFI, TMO, or Saxion (Fashion & Textile Technologies) or another relevant field or a MBO
  • You live in or near Amsterdam
  • Passion for vintage (circular) fashion
  • Excellent communication in both Dutch and English
  • Attention to detail
  • Both punctual and flexible
  • Getting things done mindset
  • Takes initiative, has creative ideas, and can prioritize tasks
  • Eager to learn, motivated, hardworking, and resilient to stress Knowledge of Excel, Illustrator is a plus
  • But most importantly: a normal office job is not enough for you and you want to actively do good in the world
