PathoFinder's proprietary 2SmartFinder technology enables the detection and differentiation of up to 24 viral, bacterial, fungal and parasitic pathogens in a single assay.


PathoNostics, founded in 2011, is PathoFinder's sister company and is focusing on the development and manufacturing of real-time PCR assays for fungal diagnostics.

Our mission is to rapidly detect the disease-causing fungus and simultaneously identify antifungal resistance, allowing clinicians to initiate a dedicated and timely therapy and save on costs and lives.

Job description

Your tasks will include

  • Perform manufacturing and assembly tasks for IVD products with precision and accuracy in a lab, like manual pipetting, performing PCR, packing of products, product management.
  • Utilize molecular biology equipment proficiently, incl. pipettes, ddPCR, realtime PCR, etc.
  • Independently maintain and update routine records such as RF, production lists, and ERP records.
  • Ensure compliance with established procedures, including General Procedures (GP), Work Instructions (WI), Operational Instructions (OI), and Device Master Records (DMR).
  • Adhere to Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory Guidelines and principles.

Personal Qualities:

  • MBO or Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or Biomedical Sciences.
  • Degree as a Biomedical Laborant (MBO) is advantageous.
  • Experience with molecular biological laboratory practices
  • Proficiency in handling molecular biology equipment and techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Preferably Dutch speaking.
