The dynamic and fast-growing team is dedicated to providing the best possible experience to their customers. Cliq Digital has just launched an all-in-one streaming service that provides unlimited access to five different types of streaming content: movies & series, music, sports, audiobooks, and games.
In this position, you will be the responsible Business Controller for this new streaming service, called Combining excellent analytical skills with a creative and problem-solving mindset, you will not only focus on today's financial aspects but also on shaping the finance domain of the future. You will take a leading role in being a critical financial sparring partner for both local management and the operational teams. As a Business Controller, you are constantly monitoring the progress and development of the new platform, and you will advise the company about all new updates. In this position, you will work closely with the other Business Controllers, the Finance Director, Operational Directors, and the in-house business intelligence, business development, and finance team. Finally, your extensive knowledge of the business model and your contacts with various operational departments will play an essential role in preparing the annual budget for the entire CLIQ group.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Act as the critical financial sparring partner between the finance department and operational teams;
- Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators, especially related to the newly launched all-in-one streaming service, ;
- Continuously improve gross margin reporting, particularly in revenue, advertising, and licensing;
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and monthly rolling forecast process;
- Identify and report on deviations between actuals and budget;
- Review and report on the key performance indicators of the company;
- Prepare and review (new) business and investment cases for new markets, services, content propositions, and other opportunities;
- Monitor and report on the profitability of the marketing campaigns.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in a financial, accounting, or economics field;
- 3 to 5+ years of work experience;
- Out-of-the-box thinking and initiative: a hands-on, "nothing-is-impossible" mindset;
- Good Excel and data analysis skills;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
- Ability to work with deadlines in a fast-paced, continuously changing, and multicultural environment to achieve clear goals.
