Job Responsibilities at the Tax Authorities

The EDP audit group consists of control employees with specific knowledge and skills in information systems, information technology, audit automation, and statistical sampling. As an EDP/IT auditor, you will work in the field of 'automation and supervision'. You will analyze the data processing systems (applications and databases) of taxpayers and determine their impact on fiscal supervision. You will also occasionally conduct IT investigations at software companies and service bureaus. In addition, you will coach EDP audit employees, contribute to the development of audit automation, provide advice and training on EDP/IT audits, and work closely with the IT Audit technical advisor.

Is this job a fit for you?

  • Minimum of WO or academic level of thinking and working.
  • Successfully completed the IT auditor training at a NOREA-recognized training institute or willing to do so.
  • At least three years of experience in auditing and assessing administrative organization and internal control.
  • Demonstrable interest in automation issues and developments in that field.
  • Preferably current experience with auditing tools and data analysis.
  • Experience with highly complex investigations on IT topics such as cryptocurrency, blockchain, algorithms, or willingness to delve into these areas.
