What you'll do:
  • As a Project Manager IT, you will work from our customer ITDP team (Data & Projects) on various projects requested by the business to guide. Sometimes the client is Operations, sometimes it's an HR project.
  • With 3,000 proud colleagues, we work towards our mission: 'the world's most sustainable and high-quality airports'.
  • With approximately 30 professionals, we act as IT Project Managers for projects initiated by the business. You will be supported by a process lead, content lead, and people lead.

As a Project Manager, you will work on complex IT projects involving software, hardware, outsourcing, tendering, and sometimes all of them simultaneously. You connect the Netherlands to the rest of the world. How you achieve this? That's up to you. At Schiphol Group, we rely on your talents, such as your perseverance and never giving up easily. You will translate your talents into action to achieve the following goals:

  • Managing the process, but also enjoying diving into the subject matter. When needed, you lead the process and manage the projects using the Prince2 methodology.
  • You start with a project mandate. From there, you engage with the business. As a leader, you assemble your project team and define the goals to make it a success together.
  • Reporting progress to the steering group and ensuring expectations are managed.
  • At Schiphol, we have a diverse stakeholder landscape, and you should enjoy understanding all those diverse interests and incorporating your project leadership style into them.
You've got this

For this role, you show interest in others. You also remain calm even under high pressure. Additionally, you have:

  • A completed HBO education.
  • At least 5 years of work experience in a similar level of complexity and dynamics;
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience with methods such as Prince2 and/or IPMA
  • The ability to easily navigate within all layers of the organization.
  • The skill to understand and translate different interests into concrete actions.
  • You thrive on the diversity in your projects and how it impacts daily operations.
  • You can smoothly switch between different projects in different stages.
  • You are proficient in Dutch, both verbally and in writing.

  • € 4744 to € 6582 gross per month (Scale 12).
  • 8.33% fixed bonus at the end of the year.
  • An NS-Business Card that fully covers public transport travel to and from work.
  • 14.4 diversity hours. You can use these hours to have (extra) days off on a holiday of your choice.
  • Participation in the ABP pension fund.

At Schiphol Projects, we contribute to the mission and goals of Royal Schiphol Group. Working in collaboration with clients, users, managers, contractors, and consultants, we carry out projects in the complex airport environment, with consideration for operational processes. With 341 colleagues, we work safely and sustainably on IT projects.
