Position Overview

As the IT & Cybersecurity Director at Axelera AI, you'll lead the entire IT function of the company, overseeing a spectrum that encompasses cyber security, hardware, software, R&D functions, and infrastructure design for product development. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of how technology can empower and accelerate business goals in an AI-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic IT Vision & Alignment : Develop and execute strategic IT and cyber security initiatives aligned with company goals, enhancing efficiency, scalability, and security.

- Comprehensive IT Spectrum Management : Oversee all IT functions, including vendor management, AWS administration, DevOps, Jira setup/administration, and hardware/software/R&D operations, ensuring elevated performance.

- Cybersecurity Management : Oversee the development and enforcement of cybersecurity policies, procedures, and systems to protect the organization's information assets from internal and external threats. Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

- Cross-functional Workflow Optimization : Seamlessly integrate IT across company functions, optimizing workflows to alleviate administrative burdens on development teams.

- Efficient IT System Architecting : Architect IT systems for hardware/software development and product qualification, optimizing workflows for high-quality output and maintaining high level of cybersecurity.

- Effective Semiconductor IT Operations : Oversee and manager CAD systems, compute clusters, regression testing, and emulation to support semiconductor operations effectively.

- Secure Key Management Oversight : Oversee key management infrastructure, ensuring secure access and data protection.

- Vendor Relationship & Management : Manage IT and cybersecurity vendor relationships, ensuring effective collaboration and alignment with organizational goals.

- Emerging Technology Evaluation : Stay updated on emerging technologies relevant to semiconductor and AI industries, assessing potential integration into the company's IT infrastructure.

- Disaster Recovery Planning : Develop and maintain robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans for AI-driven operations, ensuring minimal disruption and data integrity in emergencies.

- Team Leadership & Development : Mentor and lead the IT and cybersecurity team, fostering innovation, continuous learning, and collaboration to drive technical excellence.

- Stakeholder Technology Solutions : Work closely with departments to understand technology needs and provide strategic solutions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum 10 years of progressive IT and cybersecurity experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles.

Demonstrated expertise in cloud infrastructure management (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), DevOps methodologies, cybersecurity strategy, and IT systems architecture for both hardware and software development.

Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana) and overseeing end-to-end IT operations across diverse areas such as hardware, software, and research and development.

Strong understanding and practical application of semiconductor IT operations, quality assurance techniques, and automation tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines) in product development.

Experience with security protocols, including key management systems and data protection measures.

Exceptional leadership, team management, and decision-making skills in a dynamic IT environment.

Knowledgeable about current trends and advancements in artificial intelligence and associated technological developments.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.

Work Environment:

This role is based at Axelera AI's headquarters in Eindhoven with the option for partial remote work.

Standard office hours with flexibility to address urgent issues or projects as needed.
