Introduction to the job

Within the Tin Supply & Refill cluster we work on what is basically the 'fuel pump' of our EUV Source. We are responsible for supplying liquid tin under very high pressure towards the EUV Source. In our cluster, several technical disciplines come together into a challenging working environment. Mechanics, electronics and software are combined to control the physical aspects that one encounters when dealing with liquid tin under high pressures. Work is being done on innovative solutions to keep with the challenging roadmap that lies ahead. If you are interested in being on the forefront of this and help in testing and verifying our new solutions on our testbenches, before bringing it to our volume systems and have the opportunity to grow into a functional specialist, then this role might be suited for you.

Role and Responsibilities

The Proto Engineer is part of the performance & integration team in the tin supply & refill cluster and is responsible for operating and maintaining the test rigs used by the cluster for the purpose of design qualification, reliability testing, and issue resolution of new modules and features that are intended to be introduced on our latest EUV systems. These include the following tasks:

  • Maintain and operate test rig(s).
  • Participating and contributing to trouble shoot activities on testrig(s).
  • Carry out and/or assist the integration, build in/build out, on test rigs.
  • Review and contribute to test plans to ensure efficient use of the test rig.
  • Provide technical support within test plans to other D&E engineers as a generalist.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and report issues in the module design to improve system performance.
  • Monitor test rig performance within set parameters.
  • Keep test rig hardware and software configuration up to date.
  • Knowledge transfer to other engineers and technicians in test rig operation and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure safe working environment and work according 5S principles.
Education and experience
  • Bachelor degree in any technical field, or a college degree with 5yrs experience.
  • Affinity with testing and testing strategy is a plus.
  • Fluent in English
  • Willing to work independently in a clean room environment

We are seeking for a Proto Integration Test Engineer to join our Tin Supply & refill cluster. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team that integrates, tests, verifies and release our systems for Development and Engineering (D&E). Our modules are multidisciplinary and bring mechanics, electronics, software together in a high pressure environment. Basically our function acts as the 'fuel pump' for our EUV Source, supplying high pressure, liquid tin as 'fuel'. In this hands-on position you will have the opportunity work with all of these components and become a system expert. You will be able to contribute to building a better product though supporting the integration project and other development teams in the verifications of new functions and performance and provide the needed feedback to ensure the successful release.
