General Manager FlexiForce EMEA

FlexiForce is fully owned by ASSA ABLOY, under the Business Area Sectional Doors & Components (SDC), which is part of the Entrance System Division (ESD). It offers comprehensive products and solutions for the residential and industrial overhead door market. Our product range includes single components, hardware sets, and automation solutions, catering to diverse customer needs across EMEA.

As General Manager of FlexiForce EMEA, you will lead, direct, and control the activities of the business. Your primary goal will be to achieve both short-term and long-term financial and operational objectives, including increased profitability, sales growth, and market share.

You will implement strategies to enhance productivity and operational efficiency, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team. Additionally, you will ensure that all activities and initiatives are aligned with the overall SDC strategy and objectives.

In this position you report to the President SDC.

This position is located in Barneveld, Netherlands.

Key responsibilities:

• Accountable for the daily management and coordination of the business unit.
• Responsible for setting and executing the business unit's strategy and processes, achieving overall business targets within ASSA ABLOY guidelines, and collaborating with other companies in the ASSA ABLOY group.
• Develop mid to long-term (3-5 years) plans for optimizing the organization, function, or sub-function, and identifying the talent required to execute these strategies.
• Oversee the overall budget (final plan), operational investments, mergers and acquisitions, and their integration within the business unit.
• Ensure environmental and employee health & safety standards are met and maintain high employee satisfaction within the area of responsibility.
• Set and monitor regional performance against standards and targets in areas such as sales revenue, cost control, legal compliance, and human resource management.
• Own and manage the P&L of the business unit, ensuring a complete management team is in place.
• Lead monthly business reviews to analyze results, develop corrective actions, and present improvement plans to the president.
• Oversee, monitor, and evaluate operational performance to ensure optimal efficiency.
• Ensure the team develops and maintains strong customer relationships to achieve annual targets.
• Undertake various sales activities within the international sales territory and represent the organization to internal customers and accounts.
• Lead and coordinate the efforts of a team of executives to increase market share.
• Assess and report on company performance, developing and executing the appropriate strategy.
  

People Management:

• Manage a team of employees, overseeing recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes.
• Ensure continuous development of team members, identifying and addressing training needs.
• Coach and motivate employees to achieve both organizational and individual goals.
• Lead multiple teams, including lower-level executives, directors, senior managers, and managers.

Marketing & Product Development:

• Lead, direct, and control marketing policies, programs, and activities to achieve business objectives, ensure regulatory compliance, and protect the organization's reputation.
• Oversee product management, pricing strategies, marketing communications, advertising, and promotional activities.
• Monitor, analyze, and evaluate market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and adjust marketing strategies and plans in response to changing market conditions.
• Supervise the Product Council, oversee gateway decisions, and manage the product roadmap and product launches.
  

Other Requirements:

Education

Completed Bachelor level education Business Economics, Business Management or similar (MBA)

Languages

Excellent written and spoken skills in English

Excellent skills in Microsoft Office/Excel, experienced ERP user, preferably Microsoft Dynamix/Ax.
