Do you have an affinity for food and enjoy working in an international environment? Are you precise, results-driven, and have a positive proactive attitude? Then we are looking for you as a Machine Operator


Our client (Maasvlakte Rotterdam) started as a modest rice milling company and has grown into a global food company with a presence in over 60 countries.

They now aim to conquer the European market through Rotterdam.

Their factory, spanning over 12,000 square meters, processes rice by removing the husk and packaging it as white rice for consumers.


Your schedule is as follows:

  • 2 morning shifts from 06:30 to 15:00;
  • 2 afternoon shifts from 14:30 to 23:00;
  • 2 night shifts from 22:30 to 07:00;
  • 4 days off.
The working language on the floor is English, so it's crucial that you speak excellent English.

Your tasks are varied and diverse; together with your team, you operate all machines with the right efficiency and standard throughput to keep production costs low.

You regularly conduct quality tests and operational checks on all production machines to ensure products meet the proper quality standards.

If you notice a deviation, you investigate the cause and develop an appropriate solution with your colleagues. Additionally, you strictly adhere to regular routine inspections. You also maintain high levels of hygiene and sanitary standards during the packaging process. Furthermore, you identify safety and health risks, which you then report to your shift leader.

What do we offer:

  • A dynamic role averaging 34 hours per week;
  • Salary range between €3,200 and €3,840 gross per month, including a 28% shift allowance;
  • Direct contract with the client;
  • Travel allowance of €0.23 per km up to 100 km per day;
  • 24 vacation days and 8% holiday allowance.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum completed MBO education;
  • Experience in the food industry is a plus;
  • No experience yet, but have a Vapro B? You are welcome too;
  • Good command of the English language;
  • You possess a valid drivers license and own transport.
