The Team
The ever-evolving realm of IT Risk & Security calls for a shift in our perspective. This endeavor strives to enhance the IT Risk Measurement Model (IT RMM) and control monitoring approaches within ING to harmonize with the dynamic digital business model, focusing on operational resilience and metrics governance. This initiative is driven by the growing menace of IT and Cyber risks amid swift environmental transformations. A collaborative endeavor spanning the three lines of defense ensures a comprehensive strategy, leveraging shared knowledge and expertise to adapt and excel in this progressive domain.

Roles and Responsibilities

As an IT Risk & Security Reporting Specialist, you will play a key role in propelling our IT Risk Paradigm Shift strategy forward. Here are some examples of your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Comprehend IT risk and security needs to define functional specifications for reporting.
  • Create interactive dashboards and reports that offer actionable insights.
  • Link data sources to our data analytics platform (both on-premises and cloud-based).
  • Utilize advanced query languages like SQL for report development.
  • Establish ETL flows using SQL and Python.
  • Devise, construct, and oversee data models.
  • Assist in the establishment of a strategic data platform in Azure (e.g., Fabrics).
  • Engage with stakeholders to analyze requirements and design solutions accordingly.

Throughout this journey, you will utilize tools/languages/systems such as PowerBI, SQL, Python, Linux, Apache Superset, Azure, Kafka, and more.

An enthusiastic IT Risk & Security Reporting Specialist with a knack for making things happen, a passion for supporting others in their success, and the ability to anticipate needs. In essence, you are driven to bring innovative ideas to fruition and embrace challenges in a rapidly changing and intricate environment. You are inherently collaborative, attentive, and dedicated to achieving common objectives.

  • BSc or MSc Degree in Mathematics, Informatics, Econometrics, Computer/Data Science, Information Management, or Statistics.
  • Experience in data engineering or a related technical field.
  • Create automated reports and dashboards using tools like PowerBI, Power Query, DAX.
  • Proficiency in advanced SQL query building.
  • Rapidly transform data into reporting and analytical solutions.
  • Familiarity with IT Risk & Security principles.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Git, Microsoft Azure.
  • Understanding of data warehousing and data modeling techniques.
  • Familiarity with other programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, is advantageous. Willingness to learn new languages/tools is essential.
  • Engage in a progressive and agile work environment that values fresh ideas and feedback.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to present ideas and solutions.
  • A team player who is motivated and eager to learn.
