The Booking Holdings' Global Internal Audit function reports directly to the chairperson of the Audit Committee. The team is located in Norwalk (CT) and Amsterdam. The main goal of the team is to provide independent insights, advice and assurance on business risks and controls to senior management, and to drive change with regards to Governance, Risk Management and Internal Controls.

Job Summary:

The Senior Manager Business Audit role is part of the Global Internal Audit (GIA) team of Booking Holdings, reporting into the Director of Business Audit. The role will be responsible for the end to end management of our internal audit's SOX procedures with regards to financial controls, in close collaboration with the Senior Manager IT SOX. This role will also be responsible for driving the delivery and ensuring the quality of internal audits across the various Booking Holdings brands, and communicating results to senior management Finally, this role will play a key role in defining and supervising the execution of the internal audit plan, strategy and operating procedures of Global Internal Audit overall.

This position is based in Amsterdam at the head office of and involves occasional travel to other Booking Holdings companies.

Responsibilities

Ensure the quality, timeliness and completeness of our SOX procedures (scoping, testing and reporting and follow up activities, planning of internal and external resources, and alignment to the Internal Audit SOX methodology and approach). Handle relationships and drive alignment with Senior Brand management, Risk & Control and external auditors. Lead the budget, scope and quality of work of our co-sourcing partners. Contribute to the annual audit plan and the Global Internal Audit Strategy and operating procedures. Supervise and ensure quality of internal audits and reviews (across all Brands) with a focus on Finance, but also in other relevant areas. Develop a team of audit professionals (internal or external), incl. recruitment, coaching, performance management. Act as an ambassador for the Global Internal Audit (GIA) function and key contact person of GIA for Business SOX and Finance areas. Add value by identifying and driving opportunities to improve and drive positive change in governance, risk management and internal controls. Preparing formal written reports and presentations for senior management and the Audit Committee.

Experience and Qualifications:

A minimum of Bachelor's (post-secondary degree) preferably in Accounting or Finance. Experience with SOX procedures including scoping, testing, reporting, deficiencies evaluation, mitigation, remediation. CA/CPA/CIA or equivalent designation highly desirable. Big 4 Experience is desirable. Experience with process improvement in a Global Function. Thorough understanding of the standards of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and ability to fully stay in sync with IIA standards. Good understanding of IT environments, IT General Controls and experience with analyzing the impact of IT controls in the business environment. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite. Experience with data analysis software is desirable.
