Job Description

Yacht Life Sciences is seeking an Equipment Life Cycle Specialist to join the team at Janssen Biologics in Leiden.

We are in need of an Equipment Life Cycle Specialist who has proven experience and a strong interest in deploying equipment in a lab setting. You should have the ability to handle multiple challenges, coordinate tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain seamless communication within diverse teams.

Ensuring data integrity, establishing and managing automated systems, including robotics, are crucial tasks to support the efficient operation of laboratories. Additionally, you will play a role in upholding cGMP compliance standards and advancing the team's LEAN practices.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Manage the introduction of new systems across the organization in conjunction with other teams. These systems range from standalone analytical tools to complex global projects integrated with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems).
  • Create documentation for administrative, technical installation, and maintenance procedures.
  • Implement equipment within designated timelines.
  • Participate in Lab Systems initiatives and projects in collaboration with the global team to align with business requirements.
  • Notify lab managers/supervisors of necessary corrective actions following updates to regulations to ensure compliance with existing and new systems (USP, GAMP, GMP, ERES).
  • Contribute to managing the validation master plan for QC equipment, including inventory, qualification status, and other relevant details.
  • Collaborate with equipment suppliers to comprehend and integrate new technologies for enhanced reliability and performance.
  • Monitor project progress and managed service providers' expenditures to adhere to budgetary constraints.
  • Facilitate communication between internal and external stakeholders throughout the analytical equipment deployment phase.
