Purpose and Scope of Position:
The Maintenance Engineer holds the responsibility of providing detailed work instructions and documentation for maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting mechanical/electrical equipment (with a focus on electrical systems) used in manufacturing, utility plants, and analytical labs. All tasks must be carried out efficiently to minimize disruption to production while adhering to cGxPs at Leiden's manufacturing facility and training center.
Qualification Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- Minimum of BS in Engineering (Electrical, Mechatronic, or related fields).
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in maintenance/technical services of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment is preferred
- Knowledge of fit-out works estimation (Cost, manhours)
- Experience in an environment governed by SOPs and cGxPs
- Adaptable to a fast-paced, dynamic business environment
- Strong ability in data analysis to detect inconsistencies and solve complex technical issues
- Excellent communication skills with various stakeholders
- Knowledge of Maximo or other Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) required
- Able to interpret electrical/mechanical drawings
- Familiarity with methods like FMEA, Risk-based maintenance, criticality assessments
- Self-motivated, proactive, and can work independently
- Success in a high-performing, results-driven environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Ensure Asset Criticality ranking is performed for all area assets
- Ensure compliance with EOHSS guidelines, cGxP regulations, and Company policies
- Responsible for accurate and safe job plans
- Collaborate with Planning and Scheduling to set standards for major maintenance overhauls
- Identify spare parts needed for routine maintenance
- Support implementation of Predictive Maintenance and new technology
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance
- Ensure maintenance standards are met by vendors
- Optimize equipment reliability and cost-effectiveness
- Lead Root Cause Analysis and other exercises to enhance performance
Working Conditions:
Willingness to provide on-call support for a 24/7 manufacturing site and work flexible hours when necessary
