About the workplace

Located in the heart of Oirschot, you will find Sint Joris nursing home, which is also the largest location of Joris Zorg. The departments Straten, Kattenberg, and Moleneind are three houses with 9, 12, or 13 residents who stay with both somatic and psychogeriatric limitations. These houses are interconnected, so you can always rely on colleagues from the other house. Empowerment, quality of life, and a joyful old age are key values that we uphold.

Your responsibilities

You are welcome in Oirschot. Keep in mind that we have both full-time and part-time positions. Choose what suits you best.

• Performing light Activities of Daily Living (ADL) tasks such as assisting clients with washing, showering, dressing, and bedtime routines.
• Carrying out cleaning tasks in our common areas and/or in the residents' living spaces. This includes changing beds, watering plants, keeping furniture and closets clean. You will also collect and distribute laundry, linen, and clothing.
• Providing support during our residents' meal times (serving meals, portioning meals).
• Guiding students at the MBO 1 and MBO 2 levels, interns, and/or volunteers, contributing to their professional development.
• Promoting a homely, warm atmosphere within Joris Zorg and involving residents in relaxation and activation activities. Personal attention is crucial. That's the heart of Joris Zorg.

Do you have what it takes?

• Hold an MBO 1 or MBO 2 diploma.
• Possess knowledge of and experience with light care and household tasks.
• Prior experience working with seniors is advantageous.
• Naturally, you have a caring attitude towards the elderly.
• Display tact, empathy, and attentiveness: noticing any changes in residents and communicating them with colleagues.

• We will discuss and determine the number of hours you wish to work (preferably 20 hours).
• You will join a friendly and professional team.
• You will receive a permanent contract right away.
• A gross salary ranging from min. € 2,236.57 to max. € 2,772.02 per month according to the collective labor agreement VVT FWG 20 for a 36-hour workweek (VVT salary scales as of March 1, 2024).
• In October 2024, there will be a 2.5% salary increase according to the collective labor agreement.
• You will get 8% holiday allowance and an end-of-year bonus of 8.33%.
• You will work varying shifts.
