Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

With our growing ambition in the area of information security and with our entities gradually starting to do more work around data analytics, reporting and AI, we decided to introduce this new job in the organisation, combining the roles of information security with data management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities related to information security management:

  • Prepares and leads IT security meetings and is responsible for the agenda and notes
  • Acts as escalation point for information security incidents
  • Maintains direct business unit relationships (business line/operations, IT, legal, HR, Finance)
  • Attends Cyber crisis exercises
  • Translates strategic risks and guidance into information security requirements
  • Reports on evaluation and review of taken measures (internal/ external audits)/ management review)
  • Maintains the context and scope of information security (all assets, locations, information processing systems, suppliers, organizational scope, stakeholders)
  • Creates and maintains overall improvement plan/ongoing actions/measures to reduce risks
  • Coaches team members on information security-related matters

Key responsibilities related to data management:

  • Creates and enforces policies for effective data management
  • Formulates techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy of data
  • Devises and implements efficient and secure procedures for data handling and analysis with attention to all technical aspects
  • Establishes rules and procedures for data sharing with management, external stakeholders etc.
  • Supports others in the daily use of data systems and ensures adherence to legal and company standards
  • Ensures digital databases and archives are protected from security breaches and data losses
  • Ensures monitoring of data quality and that the data is reliable and ready for use
  • Influences stakeholders to meet their data goals and supports them on their digital journey by helping to design and implement these standards
Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor's degree, for example in computer science or information management, or demonstrated ability to act on this level
  • Experience in information security management and data management: >3 years relevant experience
  • Certification: CISM, optional CISA, CISSP
  • Experience in ensuring a healthy balance between architecture and control on the one hand and a positive working and learning experience on the other

  • Problem analysis: Identifying problems; recognizing significant information; making connections between data; tracing possible causes of problems; investigating relevant data.
  • Organizational sensitivity: Recognizing the effects and results of one's own decisions or activities on other parts of the organization; recognizing the interests of other parts of one's organization
  • Teamwork; Contributing actively to a joint result or solution to a problem, even when such teamwork concerns a matter which is not of immediate personal interest
  • Understanding of data administration and management functions (collection, analysis, distribution etc.)
  • Familiarity with modern database and information system technologies
  • Basic project management and agile skills
  • Builds strong relationships, ensuring smooth collaboration
  • Keeps things simple and practical

  • Offering a salary between € €75.000 depending on experience
  • Must be eligible to work in the Netherlands
  • Availability for 40 hours per week
  • 31 vacation days

  • Hybrid working opportunity
  • Wish to extend your holidays but don't have any more vacation days left, you can work up to 10 days from any location in the world
