Visualize the thrilling moment of a rocket launch, the suspenseful countdown: 3, 2, 1, ignition. Satellites vital to humanity, ranging from navigation to communication, space exploration, and environmental research, are propelled into space during these moments. At APP, we are the primary producer of ignition systems for European space rockets. Within our cutting-edge facility, we design, fabricate, and test rocket igniters, parachute mortars for space applications, and various gas generators for terrestrial use. Are you prepared to embark on this journey?Seeking a fresh challenge where you can lead diverse teams? As a Project Manager at APP, you will oversee the entire life cycle of rocket ignition systems, representing our company to clients.Your responsibilities will include:

• Team management: Supervising our internal team, comprising procurement, design engineers, technical experts, and production staff, to ensure seamless cooperation and optimal performance.
• Stakeholder management: Cultivating and nurturing robust relationships with customers, partners, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Project execution: Guaranteeing that assigned tasks are completed within budget, adhering to timelines and specified requirements.
• Reporting: Providing regular updates to the Management Team on finances, risks, and opportunities.
• Optimizing Supply Chain and Manufacturing Processes: Establishing and enhancing supply chain and manufacturing processes for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
• Innovation: Overseeing the integration of innovations in products and/or processes, continuously striving for enhancements to cut costs, shorten delivery times, and elevate quality.
• Customer Interaction: Preparing and negotiating proposals with clients to ensure mutually advantageous agreements.

Functie-eisen
Your Qualifications and Skills

• Technical Background: Holding a technical degree at Bachelor or Master level provides a solid base for the space industry. Proficiency in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Technology, or Applied Physics is desired.
• Experience: Relevant project management experience, particularly within sectors like aerospace, defense, or high-tech.
• Certification: Possession of a project management certification like IPMA / PMI would be highly beneficial.
• Communication: Exceptional communication capabilities in English and Dutch, both written and verbal.
