We are currently seeking a highly organized and adaptable Engineering Assistant to provide crucial support to Destinus' engineering operations through a variety of administrative and operational tasks. The ideal candidate will possess a knack for technical documentation, serving as both a writer and editor. Responsibilities include facilitating engineering tasks related to licensing, certifications, export control, logistics, and customer documentation essential for product delivery. Additionally, the role involves overseeing procurement and logistics activities to aid teams in managing acquisitions, deliveries, receptions, and inventory organization.
Responsibilities- Preparing technical documentation, publications, data sheets, specifications, manuals, and instructions
- Reviewing and editing technical documents, specifications, and data sheets
- Coordinating and consolidating documentation packages for certification, licensing, permits, customer data, and logistics
- Managing procurements with suppliers and manufacturers, including obtaining quotes, technical documents, coordinating delivery logistics, and ensuring quality compliance
- Utilizing an ERP system for procurement tasks such as purchase requests, orders, supplier management, stock and inventory monitoring, delivery, and reception logistics
- Supervising workshop and warehouse inventory, handling delivery receptions, stock intake, inventory audits, tracking, and maintaining overall organization
- CFC business administration degree or BS in engineering or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated proficiency in technical documentation as an author and editor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Dutch; knowledge of French and German is advantageous
- Strong organizational abilities
- Highly service-oriented with a hands-on, problem-solving attitude and a structured approach
