The Technical Development team develops and delivers both innovative and sustainable products for Tommy Hilfiger. Responsible for the end-to-end technical development of the product, from initial concept through to physical garments, pioneering high quality & product excellence, as well as delivering on company & divisional KPI's.
Closely partnering with several stakeholders, from PD (Product Development), design & merchandising, through to global teams this role plays an intricate part in delivering the Tommy Hilfiger brand DNA.
The Position
Highly skilled & Knowledgeable within technical development of apparel. Responsible for the creation and maintenance of our block libraries and driving all new seasonal silhouettes developments across global supply base.
Responsible for product management of multiple product categories throughout the development process, by driving key meetings (e.g. proto review, fittings, SMS review), and taking the lead to improve product quality, sustainability, innovation and margins, to handover for production.
Collaborates with peers and Supply Value Chain cluster leads by applying best practices and knowledge of the business to drive product excellence. Contributes to the definition of processes/standards within own discipline and able to gain cooperation of others within own discipline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead category specific research & development.
- Collaborate closely with design, Merchandise, and product development to interpret sketches, create collections, understand market needs, and achieve shared deadlines.
- Responsible for achieving tech specific KPIs (e.g., fit improvement, grading projects, overdevelopment, and quality improvement).
- Leads business projects related to product, process, and business requirements, as well in a cross divisional trim team on PVH EU relevant topics and comprehension on reporting to these topics.
- Leads fit meetings including capturing comments, changes & communicating these internally and externally.
- Information maintenance/data integrity: ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data in PLM (Product Lifecycle Management).
- Adhere to critical path, both internally and externally to support the development and production of the collection achieving on time for delivery at all stages of the process.
- Liaising with PVH overseas offices and collaborating with sourcing, Central Quality Assurance regarding any quality issues.
- Ad hoc tasks such as meeting preparation, analysis and supporting business projects related to product, process, and business requirements.
- Coach junior team members.
The Ideal Candidate:
- 7 – 10 years of experience in technical development and pattern cutting.
- A bachelor/ master's degree in fashion, garment technology, pattern cutting.
- Product expert of apparel development
- Strong product knowledge of multi-product within pattern cutting, technical construction and fit.
- Understanding of the following software is essential: PLM, Gerber
- Solves wide range of issues where precedent may not exist. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtain solutions.
- Works within operational objectives and contributes to the definition of processes/standards within own discipline.
- Able to work in a highly productive, fast paced environment with a hands-on approach.
- Self-driven, pragmatic, and business mind set.
- Effective communication skills: inclusive team player, interdepartmental collaboration

- Good command of written & spoken English
