Job Description

This role is part of the Legal, Governance, Risk & Compliance enabling functions within Retail Concept and Group. We are working on the ' Raise a Concern' environment, the Code of Conduct and the Policy against Corruption. Together with an Ethics & Integrity leader, two other specialists and ethics representatives in the business you will co-create and further develop the ways of working on ethics and integrity for the world-wide Inter IKEA organisation. This means that you will contribute to inquiries and investigations into concerns raised related to the supply chain as well as our own operations covering alleged of e.g. breaches of human rights, environmental breaches, harassment, conflicts of interest, discrimination, fraud, bribery. But also that you lead training and awareness activities on the Code of Conduct, Anti-corruption and raise a concern, as well as support on preventative activities thereon.

On a daily basis you will:

  • Support driving the global Ethics & Integrity agenda within Inter IKEA Group.
  • Operate the primary process of the Inter IKEA Group global whistleblowing scheme, the so called Raise a Concern mechanism, with a focus on Raise a Concern for our supply chain.
  • Lead and support high level, complex and multi-faceted investigations i.r.t. our own operations and our supply chain.
  • Secure a consistent and ethical approach to investigations across all businesses.
  • Provide training and learning sessions and maintain working routines in order to ensure professional and legally compliant investigations practices.
  • Contribute to a continuous development of investigation practices for Inter IKEA Group, e.g. in the field of data-forensics. Focus on both preventive and reactive potential for the company.
  • Serve as contact point to our franchisees for Raise a Concern.
  • Support with Code of Conduct and Policy against Corruption activities and support the business with implementation, including development of tooling and systems.
  • Monitor trends and developments in the field of 'Raise a Concern', the Code of Conduct and the Policy against Corruption. Support with reporting on Ethics & Integrity topics.
  • Coordinate, facilitate and lead awareness and communication activities related to both raise a concern as well as the policy against corruption.

About you

You have a natural interest in building relationships with people and enjoy working in a multinational organisation, currently in transformation. You strive for improvement, while balancing simplicity with excellence, and always consider the implications on the entire organisation.

To be successful in this role, the following knowledge, skills and experiences would be valuable:

  • Extensive investigation skills/experience, including, planning, fact finding, document analysis, non-confrontational interviews and report writing, with different topics (e.g. HR-related topics like harassment and discrimination as well as fraud related topics like corruption, asset misappropriation, financial statement fraud). Understanding of the complexities thereon within both the own operations as the supply chain.
  • You are familiar and experienced with the IWAY principles.
  • Well-developed communication skills, including verbal, written, presentation, facilitation, coaching and active listening
  • Experience in working with investigations in a global environment, within different cultures.
  • Level of knowledge and understanding of compliance with a Code of Conduct and related policies
  • Lead based on trust, interdependency and inclusiveness in the context of the IKEA culture and values
  • Strong motivation to safeguard the integrity of the co-workers as well as the IKEA Brand
  • Analytical, conceptual and critical thinking capability; ability to identify key issues and develop relevant solutions in a structured way
  • Ability to remain calm in high stress situations
  • Well-developed communication skills, including verbal, written, presentation, facilitation, coaching and active listening
  • Relevant knowledge of applicable legal requirements and societal developments (e.g. whistleblowing, anti-corruption or handling of personal data)
  • An active professional certification is considered as an advantage (i.e. CFE, CPI or similar)
  • Preferred years of experience: at least 4-6 years of relevant experience

This is a fulltime role (40 hours per week) and based in Delft, The Netherlands.
