Introduction to the job

At wafer defectivity, our focus is on investigating various phenomena in order to enhance the performance of both new and existing products for our customers and within our factory. The main goal is to identify solutions and containment strategies for current products while providing guidance for the development of new scanners to meet specific targets. Central to our work is defectivity data, obtained from customers or our factory, which needs to be effectively managed, analyzed, and visualized. Hence, we are seeking an engineer who will oversee data quality, analysis, roadmap planning, and serve as the primary point of contact for other departments like IT or FCs regarding database usage.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Ensure data quality for the wafer defectivity group through automation of workflows, monitoring incoming data, and managing storage and processing
  • Develop and optimize data visualization tools using spotfire
  • Act as the key user for defectivity database and DPD (data processing for defectivity) by TC61
  • Manage data access rights and uphold data governance
  • Analyze defectivity data using complex statistics and interpret findings
  • Create data analysis tools and techniques for defectivity such as particle size and shape analysis, and PWP forecasting per scanner at customer level
  • Collaborate with various teams within the organization and engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment (e.g. IT, CS, EF, FCs, TCs)
  • Provide training and support to team members on data-related topics
Education and experience

Applicants must hold a Master's degree or PhD in data engineering, or possess an engineering background with a keen interest in data management and analysis. Previous experience of 1-3 years at ASML is preferred.

Skills
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and proficiency in statistics
  • Strong abilities in collaboration and communication
  • Proficiency in coding languages such as MATLAB and Python
  • Basic understanding of data management and databases
