Main Purpose:
The Reliability Engineer is responsible for ensuring the technical integrity of assets and enhancing the reliability and performance of storage tanks and other infrastructure based on the defined maintenance strategies. This role involves developing and implementing multi-year reliability plans, reliability strategies, analyzing equipment performance, and recommending improvements to ensure optimal operation and life time of assets. The Reliability Engineer plays a critical role in defining asset strategies to adhere to compliance requirements and minimizing downtime and maintenance costs while ensuring the compliancy, safety and efficiency of the facility.Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Instrumentation, Chemical, or related field); Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Reliability Engineering, preferably in the O&G or liquid tank storage; At least 4 years' experience in a technical capacity in a major Liquid Petroleum Terminal; Strong knowledge of storage tank design, maintenance, and safety regulations (EEMUA 159/API650); Strong knowledge of and experience in reliability engineering principles, methods, and tools; Experience with condition monitoring and predictive maintenance technologies;Skills:
Proven analytical skills and experience with data analysis software; Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Competence in the use Microsoft Office Suite applications, presentation tools and programs; Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., CMMS, AutoCAD, MS Project). Attention to detail; Excellent in planning and scheduling of his activities; Full proficiency in Dutch as well as English is essential;Competencies:

Define and implements preventive and predictive maintenance strategies and plans; Develop and implement reliability strategies and programs to improve performance and reliability of assets; Custodian of the RBI process, RBI manual and RBI team for storage tanks and related equipment; Lead and conduct FMECAs to systematically identify potential critical failure modes and effects; Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to implement reliability improvements; Supports Technical Manager with cost analyses and definition of maintenance Opex budget; Prepare multi-year maintenance sustaining Capex budget; Supports and prepares maintenance metrics and KPI reports including findings and recommendations; Provide technical and reliability expertise to make buy or repair decisions; Review and analyse Fit For Purpose calculations and recommendations;Safety & Compliancy
Ensure that all statutory and regulatory maintenance requirements are incorporated in the maintenance strategies and that all reliability and maintenance activities comply with relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations; Monitor and report on backlog of compliancy related maintenance activities; Supports Technical Manager and liaise with HSSE department & governmental bodies to track and monitor compliance;Continuous improvement
Optimizing maintenance strategies and defining corrective actions based on periodic asset performance, breakdown and cost analyses; Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) of equipment failures and incidents to identify underlying issues; Custodian of the CMMS system; Lead and conduct Life Time Extension studies and present findings and recommendations for replacement versus revamp of assets; Align with Impala Group to constantly looking for and realizing reliability engineering standards, best practise sharing and reliability performance improvement activities; Periodically align with industry standards and developments to identify cost and reliability improvement potential;Direct Reports: None
