We are looking for a Senior Golang Engineer for our client in the area of Amsterdam.

Location: Amsterdam / Remote
Start date: a.s.a.p.
Period: 3 months with an option to extend
Contract hours: 36 hours per week

Project description
This department is the target platform for IT Systems observability signals within our client. They offer standardized collection and processing of metric, log and trace data in OpenTelemetry format for a large number of consumers across the organization. Within this platform, the MDPL-Processing provides integration, enrichment, and transformation capabilities, involving machine learning models like anomaly detection and timeseries forecasting. The platform consists of (among others) Kafka, OpenShift and Azure DevOps, combined with Python-based models.
You will be working in a DevOps squad on a global platform. This means working on cross-border solutions and providing services. You will be working on the new Traces solution, using Grafana Tempo and the OpenTelemetry Collector on a global scale.

Required skills Golang (5+ years experience). Grafana LGTM stack. Secure and clean coding. Monitoring. Agile & Scrum. It's nice if you have Experience in a Site Reliability Engineering context. Affinity with availability monitoring. Experience with Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines. Experience with Cassandra. Experience with Kubernetes, Openshift. Experience with Kafka. Experience with Domain Driven Design (DDD). Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD). Personal profile
The candidate is a strong coder and takes responsibility. You have an interest in IT security and develop with reliability in mind. You are a true team player who speaks up, is transparent and not shy to stand up for your own opinions. You have an instinctive need to share knowledge and continuously improve yourself and the team.
