As a Senior COBOL 85 Developer, you will:
  • Develop and maintain applications using COBOL 85 and Microfocus COBOL 85.
  • Work with IMS II, Oracle, and SQL to support and enhance system functionality.
  • Utilize your knowledge and experience with AIX to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Leverage your familiarity with Linux, PL1, Ris, and Sure to integrate and optimize system components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
What You Bring to the Table:
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in developing and maintaining applications using COBOL 85 and Microfocus COBOL 85.
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with IMS II.
  • Proficiency in Oracle and SQL databases.
  • Solid experience working with AIX operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Linux, PL1, Ris, and Sure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
You should possess the ability to:
  • Develop, test, and deploy COBOL 85 applications on AIX systems.
  • Work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and work in an agile development environment.
  • Continuously learn and stay updated with industry trends and technologies.
  • Mentor and share knowledge with junior team members.
