Job Description: Health & Safety Coordinator

You will be on the road a lot, visiting all our locations in the beautiful North of the Netherlands. As a responsible Coordinator, you influence all stakeholders. You are able to motivate your target group to contribute and work towards optimization within Health & Safety.

You are a persistent professional who is gentle with people but can also be direct when it comes to content. Health & Safety is a very serious field with great responsibility. You carry that responsibility and ensure the proper execution of the following core tasks:

  • Evaluating and improving safety procedures and work instructions for buses, trains, and trams.
  • Maintaining updated and organized records of (near) accidents and irregularities.
  • Establishing and managing documentation related to the Safety Management System.
  • Keeping up with changes in occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Preparing safety annual plans, reports, and assessments.
  • Carrying out risk assessments during changes or renewals.
  • Guiding internal safety audits and reporting on the results.
  • Investigating internal incidents after reports of accidents or emergencies.
  • Supporting and advising management and employees on safety issues within Qbuzz.
  • Maintaining contacts and meetings with governmental agencies, industry peers, and ministry representatives.
  • Implementing and coordinating safety and occupational health policies within the organization.
  • Being a safety ambassador and proactively engaging and advising employees on safety matters.

We are seeking a flexible Coordinator who understands the human aspect of organizations. You have a natural ability to persuade people and have a clear view of potential improvements within the organization. Additionally, you enjoy working independently in a supportive team with a strong commitment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in one of the following specializations: Higher Safety Engineering (HVK), Occupational Hygiene (AH), or Labor and Organization Expert (A&O).
  • Candidates with a diploma in Middle Safety Engineering (MVK) and demonstrable Bachelor's level of education are also eligible.
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in safety management.
  • Thorough knowledge of all occupational health and safety obligations and practical experience in handling them.
  • Knowledge of safety management systems and role-related procedures.


What Do We Offer?

For this challenging role with impact, we have put together the following benefits package based on the Rail & Public Transport Collective Labor Agreement:

  • Gross salary ranging from € 4030.70 to € 5560.70 based on a full-time role and considering knowledge and experience.
  • Paid standby (day and night) shifts.
  • 8% holiday allowance, 23 to 29 vacation days depending on age, and 17 reduction in working hours (ATV) days.
  • The possibility and facilities to alternate between working from home and working at one of our locations. To reach these sites, we provide a functional company car.
  • Good pension scheme through Rail and Public Transport, discounts on collective health insurance, and a gym membership.
  • One-year contract with the possibility of indefinite extension.
