Here is a unique opportunity for a company operating in the aviation industry, delivering globally to aircraft and engine manufacturers. The company has production locations in multiple countries, offering innovative aerospace systems and components. They are in search of talented individuals who strive to excel in their field. One division of the company specializes in high-tech aircraft systems and components, along with integrated services and products for aircraft owners and users. With multiple branches across different countries, the company is actively involved in designing new aircraft programs and manufacturing parts for various aircraft manufacturers. The production activities take place in several production facilities spanned across approximately 10 hectares.
Various processes are utilized for aircraft part production, including:
- Machining processes, such as 3-axis and 5-axis milling of aluminum and composite materials.
- Forming processes, such as stretching, rubber pressing, bending, rolling, solution, and precipitation annealing.
- Chemical processes, like etching and anodizing of adhesive parts, galvanic treatment of machining parts, and primers and paints spraying.
- Metal adhesive/composite processes, such as cutting prepregs, laying in a cleanroom, autoclave bonding, and non-destructive inspection.
- Assembly processes, including manual and robotic assembly of metal and composite parts.
The Facilities & Maintenance team is responsible for both preventive and corrective maintenance of tooling, machines, facilities, and building systems. Comprising approximately 21 employees, the team, in addition to their core tasks, engages around 100 external supplier contracts.
Within the Maintenance machines and installations team, they are currently seeking a Service Technician. This role offers challenges due to the wide range of machines and installations maintenance tasks involved. As a technician, you can find satisfaction in the variety of disciplines within the maintenance field. What will you be doing in this role?
- You will be responsible for corrective, preventive maintenance, and modifications of production machinery, installations, and peripherals. You will perform geometric inspections on machining tools.
- You will maintain and repair machines, installations, and systems to resolve malfunctions (mostly mechanical or control-related) and prevent issues. Additionally, you will propose process improvements.
- As a Service Technician, you will oversee the corrective and preventive maintenance, modification, and geometric inspection of production machinery, installations, and peripherals. You will also be in charge of troubleshooting and suggesting process enhancements.
When will you be a valuable addition to the team?
- A completed MBO-level 4 education in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;
- Experience in technical maintenance work (mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic);
- Familiarity with machine machining geometry;
- Basic knowledge of electrical engineering is a plus;
- Good command of the English language;
- Ability to analyze and solve technical problems;
- Resilient to stress and perseverance;
- Aptitude for independent and proactive work.
