The client is a leading global company in logistics distribution and supply chain services, located in Tilburg. They offer a wide range of freight services, warehousing, and distribution solutions tailored to various industries.


Job Description:


  • Your role as a Finance Business Partner a.i. is crucial to optimizing the planning & control/budget cycle, overseeing financial operations, and providing strategic advice to the BU management and cluster management teams.

Performance Management:


  • Implement and utilize performance management and KPIs for financial and nonfinancial aspects within the BU.
  • Take proactive measures to enhance profitability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the BU management team to drive the end-to-end agenda and establish key indicators to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Conduct objective assessments of performance and decisions within the BU.
  • Engage with the data analysis team to leverage insights for performance improvement through predictive analyses.

Quality of Advice:


  • Ensure adherence to corporate principles and consistency in information.
  • Deliver accurate and timely reports and analyses.
  • Identify deviations and risks promptly.
  • Offer recommendations for operational adjustments based on insights into the financial position.

Financial Planning and Budget:


  • Support financial planning and budgeting processes by providing KPI input.
  • Participate actively in challenging assumptions during the budget process.

Investment Assessment:


  • Scrutinize assumptions and decision bases to ensure the feasibility of major business cases.
  • Evaluate investment requests and provide guidance on risk mitigation and maximizing returns.

Contribution to the Finance Community:


  • Engage with the Finance community to exchange best practices.
  • Stay updated on the company's reporting tools.

Profile:


  • Prior experience in Business Control.
  • Background in large global companies and matrix organizations.
  • Knowledge of Logistics and Supply Chain is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Power BI.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English.
