Faurecia Clean Mobility manufactures exhaust systems and catalysts for automobile manufacturers. Customers include DAF, Scania, and Ford. The welding involved includes MIG/MAG and TIG techniques on thin stainless steel plates. Along with welding, tasks include producing silencers, pipes, flanges, catalysts, and heat shields through sawing, bending, punching, pressing, and welding methods. Welders may be required to work at different stations when needed.

Responsibilities as a welder include creating welded connections for series or repetitive orders. Additionally, welders must pass an annual proficiency test by fabricating a test piece.

A welder's duties consist of four main parts:

1. Preparation

• Reading and interpreting drawings, photos, and work instructions;
• Setting up welding equipment;
• Using appropriate tools;
• Collaborating with the Gap Leader;
• Ensuring correct work sequence to prevent distortion.

2. Welding

• Assembling parts for welding;
• Executing manual welding;
• Using welding machines for resistance welding;
• Ensuring product welding meets quality standards.

3. Quality Control

• Inspecting weld quality;
• Verifying dimensions;
• Visually checking weld appearance;
• Reporting complex faults to the Gap Leader.

4. Post-processing

• Cleaning weld spatter;
• Performing minor product corrections;
• Using wire sleeves to prevent spatter;
• Removing weld spatter.

• Experience in MIG/MAG or TIG welding;
• Availability for 2-3 shifts full time;
• Reliable, accurate, and independent work ethic;
• No welding certificates required, experience valued.
