We are looking for a teacher for the subject of technology (0.4 fte) for the school year 24/25. Teaching another subject alongside is possible.

What will you be doing?
As a technology teacher, you will provide our students with the basics of today's technical world. They mainly create their own projects using various materials.

In the first year, students learn about technology, robotics, programming, designing, and shaping. Afterwards, they choose a learning path in one of the technology profiles:

• Construction, Living, and Interior profile with the corresponding routes
• Production, Installation, and Energy profile with Energy & Electrotechnics or Metal & Control Engineering routes
• Mobility and Transport profile with Vehicle Technology & Motorized Two-wheelers route

Working at d'Ampte

You will be part of a team with a team coach at d'Ampte. A team consists of about 12 colleagues from various subjects. Teaching the same classes as much as possible, you will work closely with colleagues valuing collegiality. Your workday starts at 8:15 AM with a 20-minute team meeting.

Small classes and personal support
Small classes of approximately 20 students allow each teacher to closely monitor student development. Each d'Ampte student begins the year with an entrance interview and has regular personal sessions with their coach, replacing traditional group mentorship.

What do we expect from you?

• A completed Teaching degree in the technical field or in the final stages thereof. Holding a qualification in another subject is negotiable with a strong affinity for technology.
• Potential candidates with a Primary Education degree are encouraged to apply. There is an opportunity to follow the Group Teacher training program for lower-level vocational education, with covered study leave. The training lasts approximately six months.
• A passion for teaching vocational students.

• Salary in accordance with the Secondary Education Collective Labor Agreement; placed in salary scale LB (min. 3301 euros - max. 5030 euros). Your salary depends on your experience and position.
• Additional benefits including 8% holiday pay, an 8.33% year-end bonus, generous vacation time aligning with school breaks, an individual choice budget of 50 and 40 hours per year at full-time employment, cafeteria plan, Working Conditions Act arrangement, pension plan with ABP, and travel reimbursement.

• Personal guidance from a teacher coach and introductory meetings during your first year at d'Ampte. • MacBook loaned for work purposes (students use iPads).

Application Process

• Interview & Tour: Meet with our Deputy Director, Krystle Kors, and a colleague on-site at d'Ampte. Following the interview, take a tour of the school facilities. Usually scheduled within a week, pending your availability.
• Job Shadowing: Have the opportunity to shadow a teacher if desired.
• Employment Discussion: A meeting with our HR advisor at the board office concluding with your appointment.
