We are looking for an ambitious and adaptive Group Financial Control Manager to join our international team.

Reporting to the Group Consolidation & Reporting Manager, you'll have a highly visible position and an impactful role on set-up and process improvement in our pan-European organization.

You'll be challenged to work towards best-in-class Group financials, develop and improve the reporting packs and systems, and be part of the controllership team overseeing 500+ legal entities.


As
Group Financial Control Manager, you will be part of the Controllership team, but you will also have a wider reach, partnering closely with the Investment Accounting team, Tax team, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and other teams within the group.

What you will do

  • Assist the Group Controllership team with the endtoend closing process and group consolidation of 500+ legal entities;
  • Assist with the production of bestinclass consolidated financial statements in line with IFRS;
  • Help monitor the Group financial closing process during the quarter
- and year-end closing and assist with solving any issues that could prevent timely reporting;

  • Liaise with Investment Accounting component teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting;
  • Review and analyse quarterly financial data submitted by Investment Accounting component teams;
  • Actively participate and lead quarterly review meetings with the Investment Accounting teams;
  • Recommend actions by regularly analysing and interpreting data to locate and resolve errors throughout;
  • Identify further processes improvements, automation opportunities and new ways of working;
  • Take a leading role in coordinating the external valuation process of our investment properties together with Portfolio Management team;
  • Assist with fund reporting and prepare on a quarterly basis in depth analytical reports (including variance analysis, actuals vs budget, consolidation packs, net debt analytics) for various internal and external stakeholders (including but not limited to: parent companies, senior management, other internal departments). The analytical procedures require a strong understanding of the main drivers of the business on a periodic basis and a permanent liaison with other internal departments (especially Investment Accounting/Regional Managers, Treasury, FP&A);
  • Act as a sparring partner towards senior management, country managers, assets managers, auditors and other stakeholders;
  • Participate in various internal projects where you provide analytical reporting, and project support to senior management (eg. restructuring, refinancing);
  • Actively support the collective growth of a team and the development of junior team members.

What you will bring

  • You'll hold at least a bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics. A master's degree or an accounting qualification (RA, ACCA or equivalent) completed or close to completion is a plus.
- +10 years' experience as a finance professional in an Auditing, Consolidation or Financial role within a dynamic, fast-paced working environment.
