Job Purpose

As Buyer you will be required to execute procurement strategies for assigned components (goods / services), to ensure that quality, cost effective products are delivered in a timely manner. This role will be based in Arnhem. We understand the importance of balancing work and life and offer hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days in the office after initial introductory period.

Job Description

Participates in defining procurement strategies and activities to mitigate risk together with the project manager and category. Capable of resolving commercial issues and has skills to manage purchase orders of high values and complexity. Continuously communicate order status with internal stakeholders and ensure accuracy of system data. Prepares the purchase order documents in due time and checks for quality. Autonomy in leading a purchase order negotiation, expediting and suppliers' management.

You are meant for this job if:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering or equivalent Strong written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to handle dynamic work environment. Courage to insist on compliance in situations where the process and/or requirements are challenged or not followed Experience of procuring various OEM components in the Oil & Gas/Petrochemical industries predominantly required for manufacture of skids Knowledge of managing safety stock Working knowledge of ERP, preferably SAP Legal Skills and experience would be an advantage Experience of working in a global multicultural matrix organisation
