Your job

As a key player in ensuring our IT security within a dynamic setting, you collaborate closely with our talented development teams to guarantee the safety of our banking products from the get-go. It's all about continuous collaboration and prioritizing security.

Your primary client is ABN AMRO's IT organization, an international environment with a diverse workforce. Regular interactions with colleagues, developers, product owners, grid owners across all business units of the bank are crucial. Balancing business and customer needs against potential risks is a top priority. If issues arise regarding information security, it's up to you to swiftly propose creative solutions. This role offers a chance to work with various technologies, tools, and highly skilled colleagues in an ever-evolving industry, making it both challenging and stimulating - a continuous learning experience.

Working environment

Joining the CISO Technology and Engineering (T&E) team under the Corporate Information Security Office (CISO), you'll be part of a multinational team of over 90 professionals dedicated to IT and people security. Collaboration with IT colleagues to ensure robust infrastructure and application security is key. At ABN AMRO, we strive for continuous improvement, customer understanding, and earned trust through clear communication and product offerings.

Your profile

We are looking for a cyber security or security risk expert who can lead, coach, and maintain a clear vision while staying updated with the latest trends in the field. Strong analytical skills, the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, and expertise in various security domains are essential. If you have 8-10 years of experience in IT, IT Security, or Risk Management, along with a Master's degree in relevant studies, you're exactly who we're looking for.

  • 8-10 years of experience in IT, IT Security, or Risk Management
  • Master's degree in information science or related studies

Essential knowledge and understanding of:

  • Development life cycle and platform security, Development pipeline security, Threat modeling, Container security, security code review
  • Cloud security with a focus on Azure and SAAS solutions
  • Security risks, CSA framework implementation
  • Cloud concepts and best practices
  • DevOps security processes
  • Application security and secure coding

Additional skills:

  • Stakeholder management in a multicultural environment
  • Strong communication skills in English and Dutch

Desirable knowledge of:

  • Information Security Risk Management, documentation, report writing
