Job description
Yacht Life Sciences is seeking an EHS Specialist to join the Environment, Health, Safety & Sustainability (EH&S) unit of Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine in Leiden, the Netherlands.
We are in search of a new team member for our clients' Environment, Safety & Health Team focusing on Environmental Permitting and EHS Regulatory Compliance. The ideal candidate is an expert in Environmental Permitting and EHS Regulatory Compliance, possesses a quality-driven mindset, enjoys engaging with others, views challenges as opportunities, and finds motivation in enhancing EHS procedures. EHS & S Department at Janssen Biologics Leiden
The EHS Department at Janssen Biologics leads the enforcement of J&J Worldwide EHS Standards, as well as the ISO14001 and ISO45001 Management System standards. They collaborate closely with the J&J EHS organization in the Netherlands and related J&J entities in other countries.
At Janssen Biologics, EHS management is a fundamental responsibility across the entire organization. The EHS department provides support by nurturing strong relationships with site/departmental EHS Representatives, Management System Standards Owners/Subject Matter Experts, and Site Management.
Responsibilities:
Oversee EHS governance concerning Environmental Permitting Offer project assistance related to Environmental PermittingInteract and negotiate with external authorities and governmental bodiesManage internal governmental inspection processes and coordinate inspectionsMaintain and enhance EHS regulatory compliance proceduresAct as a Subject Matter Expert on EHS legislationSpecialize in EHS Document control, continuously improving the processLead or support the implementation of corporate EHS Standards within your area of expertise (Regulatory compliance, document control)Supervise teams of EHS Representatives and EHS Standard Owners/SMEs particular to your fieldAssist in EHS risk assessments within your domainConduct EHS training on related topics within your area of expertiseFunctie-eisenJob requirements
Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant fieldProficiency in Dutch and English, both spoken and writtenExperience in engaging with governmental entitiesProficiency in EHS permitting and regulatory compliance processesFamiliarity with International Management System Standards ISO14001 and ISO45001Additional certification as a Safety Manager level 3 ("HVK") or equivalent is a plusProficiency in Dutch and English, both spoken and writtenArbeidsvoorwaardenTerms of employment
We present an exciting position offering a dynamic and international work environment, ensuring diverse tasks and abundant opportunities for personal growth. This entails a one-year secondment contract at Johnson & Johnson through Yacht, working 24-32 hours per week (with 3 days on-site). We provide a competitive compensation package commensurate with the role's seniority (gross salary ranging from 3600 to 5050 euros per 4-week period, based on a 40-hour workweek).
