Job Description:

  • You ensure safe and timely transportation for passengers, going beyond merely driving the bus. You serve as a familiar face for locals and tourists, fostering a hospitable atmosphere on board while driving modern electric buses. Your role extends to creating a pleasant travel experience for all passengers.
  • Commence your day at the garage, usually starting with daytime shifts in your first year. Engage with colleagues over coffee, then set off on your route, making multiple trips with breaks in between. Interact with passengers, check tickets, and address any inquiries or issues during your shifts.
  • Experience the rewarding aspects of being a bus driver through the eyes of Sylvester, a Public Transport Bus Driver via Olympia at GVB, who finds joy in driving through Amsterdam daily and interacting with diverse individuals, turning each day into a delightful experience.

Requirements:

  • Possess a driving license D and code 95;
  • Height between 1.65 and 2 meters for optimal visibility;
  • Access to transportation to reach bus departure points;
  • MBO working and thinking level (level 3);
  • Good vision with color and signal distinction ability;
  • Statement Of Conduct;
  • Basic knowledge of Amsterdam, which will be further enhanced during training.
