Wil jij met jouw Engineering -kennis de glastuinbouw verduurzamen in een ambitieuze hardware-startup? Met jouw hulp wordt een diepgaand onderzoek gedaan naar alle facetten van de Warmtebatterij: de prestatie, het materiaal en de chemische eigenschappen van de huidige en de toekomstige variant.

THERMELEON | Richting klimaatneutrale glastuinbouw

Ons product – de Thermeleon Warmtebatterij – is een innovatieve etmaalbuffer voor kassen. Het verbetert de energie-efficiëntie van kassen door de overtollige warmte strategisch te hergebruiken tijdens de dag-nachtcyclus. Zo verlagen we het aardgasgebruik substantieel en is er een hogere klimaatgelijkheid over de kas heen. In deze rol zet je grotendeels zelfstandig experimenten op en voert ze – samen met de rest van de R&D-afdeling – uit. Dit omvat tests naar de prestatie, het materiaal en de chemische eigenschappen van verschillende productvarianten. Je analyseert de resultaten en koppelt die onder andere terug aan de Product Design engineer. Je hebt ook de vrijheid om mee te denken over het (toekomstige) productontwerp. In alle stappen zul je nauw samenwerken met je collega's, met een gevarieerde achtergrond (Business, Scheikunde, Bouwkunde, Natuurkunde Werktuigbouwkunde). Binnen de baan is er ook ruimte om op hoger level strategisch mee te denken over de productontwikkeling-strategie.

WAT GA JE DOEN

  • Je zet experimenten op naar de prestatie-, materiaal- en chemische eigenschappen van verschillende productvarianten
  • Vanuit deze resultaten denk je mee over het toekomstige productontwerp
  • Je denkt en werkt mee aan de analyse van de pilot meetsetup
  • Je draagt bij aan de visualisering van de productprestatie
  • Je helpt met het fysiek maken van prototypes en het installeren van sensor-setups
  • Met bovenstaande conclusies de richting van het ontwerp te sturen en de performance verbeteren

Vereisten

WAT WE ZOEKEN

  • Je hebt minimaal 1 jaar relevante werkervaring
  • Je kunt zelfstandig en gestructureerd werken
  • Je hebt kennis en interesse in de vakgebieden van transportverschijnselen, materiaalkunde, thermodynamica, sensor meetsetups
  • Je hebt een studie-achtergrond in: Natuurkunde, Werktuigbouw, Chemical Engineering, Lucht- en Ruimtevaart of vergelijkbaar
  • Motivatie om fysieke metingen uit te voeren en te analyseren
  • Kennis van data-analyse d.m.v. Python, Excel
  • Team-speler en duidelijke communicator

ONS TEAM

Thermeleon bestaat uit een compact en hecht team dat is gedreven door een duurzame ideologie en een passie voor de glastuinbouw. Momenteel bevinden we ons in de startup-fase, waarbij de pilotmetingen in een high-tech kas in volle gang zijn. Om te blijven leren (van elkaar), organiseren we elke vrijdag een 'Therming Sessie' om kennis te delen en de week af te sluiten.

We zijn onderdeel van het duurzame-startup innovatieprogramma van de Europese Unie (Climate-KIC) en ontvangen ook subsidie van het NWO-domein Toegepaste en Technische Wetenschappen (TTW) in samenwerking met de TU Delft.

Ons kantoor bevindt zich in YESDelft, dé incubator van Delft gefocust op hardware startups. Daarbij is het mogelijk deels op kantoor (Delft) en deels thuis te werken.
