Mechanic

How you can make your mark:

As a Mechanic, you are part of the Technical Department and work at our Service Center in Capelle aan den IJssel.

You also occasionally work at various project locations in the Netherlands. Both at our Service Center and at our project locations, you ensure that Boskalis' machinery and equipment function properly.

You are responsible for maintaining and repairing our rolling stock. This mainly includes trucks, cranes, pumps, generator sets, compressors, hydraulic sets, and grabs. Broad experience is a plus, but you must be willing to expand your knowledge.

Together with your colleagues from the Service Center, you solve acute technical problems and contribute to the optimal deployment of our equipment.

Your qualities and experience:

• You have an MBO level of education and thinking, preferably in mechanical engineering or automotive technology, or comparable knowledge gained through work experience.
• You have some basic knowledge of diesel engines and vehicle technology.
• You can work both independently and as part of a team.
• You know applicable labor and safety regulations.
• You are eager to learn, enthusiastic, and willing to take courses if necessary.
• If necessary, you are prepared to perform repairs at various locations within the Netherlands.

Extra information

• Your team: In Capelle aan den Ijssel, you will work together with the Technical Department team, with colleagues in the warehouse, outside in the workarea, but you also have contact with your colleagues in the office. In total, your team at the location consists of about 25 colleagues.
• Where you will work: The Service Center in Capelle aan den IJssel will be your home base, and depending on the needs, you will also come to one of the project locations in the country if the situation requires it.
