Job Description

Join us as a Quality Optimization Lead where you'll be in charge of implementing continuous improvement quality programs like First Time Right (FTR) and Product Release Optimization across various operations sites at Philips. Your main goal will be to drive cost savings, enhance processes, and prevent defects in the manufacturing process. Your tasks will involve quality data analysis, executing quality optimization events, coaching and developing personnel, and collaborating closely with site teams to identify and mitigate risks proactively. Furthermore, you'll lead efforts to investigate, analyze, and enhance inspection processes, focusing on areas with stable processes, high scrap costs, and inefficient visual inspections.

This position offers a fantastic opportunity to make significant quality and efficiency enhancements across our manufacturing operations.

  • Support the execution of quality improvement kaizen events and optimize product release, sampling, and destructive testing methodologies at operations sites to ensure good parts production, defect prevention, and cost savings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and site leadership to assess risks, develop action plans, streamline inspection processes, and improve product quality.
  • Act as a coach and mentor, offering guidance on problem-solving principles and promoting a quality-driven culture.
  • Lead initiatives to optimize product release processes by conducting thorough analyses and implementing data-driven solutions.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators related to quality, scrap, inventory levels, and cost of poor quality (COPQ) to drive continuous improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the quality improvement program and product release processes using data-driven insights and best practices.

To be a great fit for this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics (advanced degree preferred).
  • Experience in DMAIC Methodology or equivalent problem-solving methodology.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green belt certification (Black Belt desirable).
  • Project leadership experience.
  • Strong team collaboration skills.
  • Organizational skills, self-driven, and able to work independently.
  • Effective presentation skills to various audiences.
  • Experience in mentoring, coaching, and analytical thinking.
  • Desirable experience in quality improvement strategies, training, and curriculum delivery.
