About You

As the Junior Production Planner, your main task will involve collaborating with the MRP system to plan and schedule process orders based on demand and material availability. You will be responsible for reporting and coordinating any material or capacity issues effectively with other departments such as Production, QC, Raw Material Planning, Shop Floor Controllers, and Customer Service. To excel in this role, you should possess a high school diploma, a minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing planning using an MRP system, adaptability to new circumstances, excellent interpersonal skills, and strong communication abilities.

As a Junior Production Planner, your responsibilities include:

Reviewing materials availability, planning, and scheduling Process Orders for production release using the MRP. Collaborating closely with the customer service department to ensure timely shipments. Addressing and resolving material shortage issues by working with inventory control and/or purchasing. Coordinating with Shop Floor Controllers to ensure a smooth work flow is being released to production. Coordinating with the Production department to ensure on-time customer shipments. Participating and coordinating with R&D, Customer Service, and manufacturing on new product introductions. Safety - Understanding and adhering to appropriate standards and procedures. Participation in safety classes and training sessions. Familiarity with emergency protocols and ability to respond swiftly and effectively.

Required Skills

High School Diploma and 3-5 years of work experience in manufacturing planning with an MRP system. Technical Knowledge Results Orientation Detail Orientation Team Work Problem Solving Customer Orientation Interpersonal Skills/ Communication Adaptability to Change

Required Experience

3 - 5 years working in manufacturing planning with an MRP system. 8 hours Shift, 5 days a week. Flexibility based on fluctuations in customer ordering patterns.
