ASML is a Dutch high-tech company and one of the main suppliers of machines for the semiconductor industry, in particular steppers and scanners, which are used in chip making. Customers are often chip manufacturers. ASML's head office and business complex is in Veldhoven, where research and development and assembly take place in cleanrooms. The company also has sixty service points in fourteen countries to support the installation and delivery of machines and spare parts.

ASML was created from a joint venture between ASM International and Royal Philips. ASML delivers worldwide, but most of its customers are located in Asia. In 2011, 66% of sales were achieved in that region, 25% in the United States and just under 9% in Europe. The largest customer was responsible for a quarter of the total turnover. ASML's main supplier is Zeiss, a manufacturer of lenses and optical components. Zeiss's share in ASML's total purchasing costs is just under 30%. Due to the great mutual interests, both companies have entered into a strategic alliance; This can only be broken if one of the parties cancels three years in advance. Introduction

Founded in 1984, ASML is the world's leading provider of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry, manufacturing complex machines that are critical to the production of integrated circuits and chips. ASML has its R&D and manufacturing operations in the United States, China, Taiwan, Korea and in Veldhoven, the Netherlands.

The IT organization of ASML supports information management, infrastructure and key business processes across ASML. Part of the IT organization is the Competence Center Operations & infrastructure (O&I) providing all, mission-critical, IT support services. This not only includes generic IT infrastructure services like laptops and desktops, telecom services, network and datacenters but also the IT applications which are used within ASML.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Technical Landscape Owner Logging and Analysis, you carry the responsibility for safeguarding the platforms used in the service. You provide guidance, coaching, and leadership to the L&A team and business stakeholders. You will act on both an operational level, ensuring that designs, procedures and policies are in place, as at tactical level, translating the strategy into technical roadmaps.

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Participate in domain architecture governance to identify and design the future state of the global platform.
  • Translate and realize the strategy into technical roadmaps.
  • Translate decisions into practical guidelines, policies and implementation plans.
  • Coordinate and assure quality of changes, incidents and problems.
  • Report on the operational health of the global platforms.
  • Signal, analyze and realize improvements.
  • Support in the rollout of complex changes.
  • Provide technical consultation.
  • "Sell" the features in the new software releases.
Functie-eisen

Experience

  • 4+ years professional experience with a focus on the creation and management of technical roadmaps.
  • Broad knowledge of design compliance and internal auditing programs.
  • Sound understanding of Splunk technology, techniques and best practices. Including Enterprise Security and ITSI. Most preferably Splunk Certified Architect of higher.
  • Sound understanding of Cribl Stream technology. Certification in Cribl Observability Admin (or more preferably Consultant level certification).
  • Experienced in participating in complex projects.
  • Experienced with frameworks like ITIL and Safe Agile.
