Wat ga je doen?As Manager Technical Service Support (TSS) Digital Farming at Lely, you play an important role in innovating and improving the dairy farming sector. You lead a team of around 25 employees divided into 2 teams, each with its own team lead. You coach and guide your team leads in leading their teams effectively and efficient. When needed you act as incident manager and guide the team through critical matters. You have excellent stakeholder management skills to achieve the best results. You are HR-responsible for your team which includes recruitment, hiring, and performance management. Your team is responsible for providing third-line support on questions, problems, and bugs related to our digital products. You also support and contribute to the growth of the TSS competences (such as maintenance, data and training) within the 'Digital Farming' domain.

As a manager of the TSS Digital Farming team, you convey a clear vision and make decisions when necessary. You work closely with the Head of Field Support within the Business Team Digital Farming to optimize technical support and achieve operational excellence. In addition, together with the team leads, you strive for further professionalization within your own team in various areas, such as substantive and personal development of the teams, sustainable design of processes, further professionalization of the TSS role in projects and management of output. You act as the face of TSS Digital Farming team, and ensure good cooperation with the Lely Clusters, Lely Centers and other (technical) departments within Lely to help colleagues find a solution at the farmer faster and better. You realize that our customers rate the digital support as outstanding.You are also part of the TSS MT, which also includes other managers from similar TSS teams. You represent your own team in creating the long-term strategy for TSS and its practical implementation through initiatives. Since Lely is an international company, as a manager, we want you to build and maintain great relationships with colleagues abroad, meaning you will occasionally visit Lely Product Development in Turkey (Istanbul), a Lely cluster, and/or a Lely center in one of the 40 countries where Lely operates.About the TSS Digital Farming teamThe TSS Digital Farming team, also known as Digital Operations Center (DOC), is part of the Business Team Digital Farming and is responsible for the technical operations of Lely's farm management software called Lely Horizon and other digital services and solutions. The DOC provides first-class third-level support with a strong customer focus, monitoring and reporting about the performance with innovative technology to ensure end-to-end secure, stable, and reliable digital services and solutions while aiming for 100% uptime. Wat breng je mee?For this challenging role we are looking for someone with a strong personality who maintains an overview and feels good in a very dynamic environment. We also think it is important that you do not lose sight of the team. We are also looking for the following qualities:
  • A broad understanding of technology (Business & IT, Digital Technology)
  • Experience in IT Service Management and outstanding stakeholder management skills
  • Managerial experience, preferably a large team in a technical environment
  • People-oriented, able to provide a secure base
  • Strong communication skills
  • Very strong in terms of process and results oriented
  • A real connector and good at providing direction
  • Experience with building year roadmaps, planning, and reporting
  • Currently living in the Netherlands and fluent mastery level of English and Dutch (verbal and written)
