Job Title: Senior Researcher

This is a *Amsterdam* based role with an excellent immediate start within a Global Technology Client that is working on their largest digital and technological transformation program.

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a skilled Senior Researcher with a strong background in research design, data collection, and analysis. The ideal candidate will demonstrate critical thinking beyond standard business requests and will operate independently across all aspects of the research process. This role requires leading core end-to-end research activities, from defining objectives and hypotheses to executing methodologies and communicating findings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research Skills:
  • Exercise good judgment in evaluating research opportunities, determining importance, urgency, and impact.
  • Challenge details of incoming research requests and propose solid, actionable research solutions.
  • Execute projects with existing skills while continuously expanding research capabilities.
  • Integrate knowledge of both quantitative and qualitative research approaches, effectively triangulating findings and methods.
  • Maximize research efficiency by leveraging internal and external secondary research and expert inspection methods.
  • Adapt well-established methods to fit product/project needs and innovate new methods in collaboration with senior researchers.
  • Quickly learn and apply key software tools common in the field, such as those used for surveys, diary studies, and analysis.
  • Ensure all research activities comply with data compliance and ethical standards.
• Business Impact:
  • Develop research activities and insights to effectively answer key business questions.
  • Focus research insights on informed decision-making, impacting product value proposition, design, market communications, and strategy.
• Collaboration:
  • Drive cross-discipline and department collaboration through research insights and activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with other researchers and disciplines, showing commitment to shared ownership of projects.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills, tailoring messages for different audiences, and being open to feedback and input.
• Research Community Contributions:
  • Contribute to the research community by participating in special topic workgroups, mentoring junior researchers, or assisting in the hiring process through candidate screening.

Education Requirements:

• Master's Degree (or PhD) in a field focused on research with human subjects (eg, HCI, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Sociology, etc.), or a similar background.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Solid foundation in research design, data collection, and analysis.
• 3-5 years of broad job knowledge and relevant experience in research.
