Role and Responsibilities

As part of ASML’s data driven development groups in the Machine Control department, you will develop and build software test solutions that are instrumental to have our lithographic machines operating at high productivity while maintaining nanometer accuracy and making sure that the system interfaces are consistent and in accordance with the industry high standards.

Since software is an integrating competency, it is an essential added value for ASML. You will be involved at all stages of the software development process; specification, test design, qualification and integration of the advanced software for use in our world-leading products.

You will be responsible for creating clear test specifications on requirements, making efficient test design choices, to 'make it happen' by also implementing the design and verify the software implementation.

Next to this, you will be responsible for providing effort estimates for the work at hand and identify dependencies on others. Together with your scrum master you will schedule your activities and agree on when to deliver the required specifications. The software delivered is documented and qualified by means of automated test cases. You will interface with both internal and external clients. Our main core is data transformation and our group is linked to many other groups within the software cluster.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s level with an Education in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 6+ years of experience in a high-tech environment.
  • Expertise in Python, Squish, HTTPs, Web services Automation, Robot framework for behaviour-driver development.
  • Demonstrable expertise in developing and executing Component test and system level tests.
  • Developing customer based use cases and setting-up the test infrastructure to mimic the customer profiles.
  • Applying test techniques to create test plans, find test gaps, test designs and test executions.
  • Experience in Jenkins, GitHub, GitHub actions.
  • Unix/Linux and software configuration management (ClearCase, GIT, AGR).
  • Experienced in working in SAFe or Agile team environment and applying lean practices.
  • Having ISTQB,SEMI standards, data security test, Java/C++, Simulators is plus.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
