Ultrasound ASIC Designer

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Analog ASIC Designer to join our client Philip's team and play a key role in developing innovative integrated circuits for ultrasound applications, such as Intra Vascular Ultrasound (IVUS) catheters. In this role, you will collaborate with the ASIC team, as well as engineers and scientists across various disciplines, to design, simulate, and implement high-performance analog and mixed-signal circuits for our next-generation ultrasound systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-performance analog and mixed-signal circuits for ultrasound applications, including:
    • Low-noise amplifiers
    • Transmit pulser
    • Beamforming circuits
    • Timing and control circuitry
  • Perform circuit simulations using Cadence Virtuoso to verify functionality and performance.
  • Develop and maintain detailed design documentation, schematics, and layout files.
  • Collaborate with system engineers and physicists to understand application requirements and translate them into robust circuit designs.
  • Participate in the design review process, providing and receiving feedback on technical aspects.
  • Contribute to the development of test plans and participate in chip testing activities.


Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in analog and mixed-signal IC design, preferably linked to ultrasound applications in the medical domain.
  • Proven experience in designing high-performance circuits for low-noise and high-speed applications.
  • Experience with physical design and layout considerations for ASICs.
  • Strong understanding of analog circuit design principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in using Cadence for simulation and layout.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • A strong work ethic and a commitment to quality and deadlines.
  • Fluent in English, both writing and reporting.
